Album description:
This is an almost complete contemporary family home in the hills surrounding Adelaide, South Australia. The use of Basket Range Quarry stone adds a country or rustic feel to what is otherwise a modern house.

If you're building from scratch, consider putting in a cellar. It's usually the cheapest room to build. Just dig a hole and line the walls....

Nice work, looks like a great location, how much land do you have? Look forward to seeing it completed with the landscaping.

Quite a nice sized house mate! The first pic looking through the living room, then outside looks great with the gum trees outside. Is it two separate houses? Keen to see how you do the interiors...

The house is 560sqm under roof with 100sqm of that being patio, carport, verandah etc. The inside will be fairly plain, it's not a 'federation' or victorian or colonial etc. It's one house, the gap at the back is a small south facing patio for use in high summer.

I love the stone work -what a fantastic job. Is that a fireplace? It looks like the hole goes all the way outside though...

The hole is a woodbox with lockable door so that wood can be placed into the box from the outside.
