Maybe move the TV to the opposite side of the room so the chairs don't have their back to the kitchen area? I assume the kitchen area is from the tiled area you can see on the bottom right of the photo?

A painting or something on the wall would help. It also looks a bit funny with the chairs pointed towards the heater. Is it portable? Can you put the TV there instead?
