A recent picture of the back of our house.
We found a load of sleepers which we used as a stepped retaining wall and also as paving, which gave a similar look to a pier.

This is as close as I can find to the same view as above a few years earlier. Amazing what a lick of paint did. Maybe it is not as warm because it is Autumn outside...

Image 16 - windows, restoration
The only thing I would not do again was restore the windows. Everything else I thought I got at least close to my value for time spent.
Side hung windows with two sides, two leaves in each side and double glazed book style which means two panes in each leaf. Months of work and the deterioration was visible soon after reinstallation. They looked good for a little while.

Did you live here while you renovated? That looks like it would have been tough if you did... I read on your profile that you're a professional and it sure looks like it... I bet you get heaps of work!

This is an amazing renovation job. It's inspiring to see the time, skills, and effort put into it. The open ceiling upstairs is particularly nice, and I love the glass bricks!
